Birthday Day and Night!!

Apparently at 3, birthdays change. Madigan has been SO INTO her birthday this year-and for months! She points to things at the store that she wants for her "party" and talks about her birthday all the time. Finally the day had come. Here's a few photos of Madigan in her birthday crown before school and then before the party. She didn't like to wear hers the whole day like Paige, but she wore it a little bit. One side has a bird and the other side has a tulip flower, and of course a big 'M' on the front. At school, Madigan celebrated by walking 3 times around the sun (by herself!!) and she took strawberries and blueberries to share with her class.

Balloons were also a cherished present this year. this girl LOVES her balloons-asking every time we see one about town if she can get one.

We let Madigan open 2 or 3 small presents before her friends came over. We didn't know she would put her ballet attire on and wear it the entire night!! She starts ballet class next week!!
Below, Madigan waits for her friends to arrive-Paige and Paulina both came and it was Madigan's dream day to have them both over to her house!

And finally the last gift of the evening was a Doctor's kit that I put together with the help of Grandma. The kid has everything and more then she would ever need to be a Doctor. I found an old black miner's lunch box at the antique store to house it all. Grandma sent everything from pee urine sample cups to alcohol wipes to rubber gloves. She's been playing doctor with us the last few weeks so we thought this would be a fun gift.... And it was what she wanted to make sure was there when she woke up this morning. We're hoping to introduce her to being a vet to give Mom and Dad a break.
Unfortunately, I didn't get any of the girls playing on the keyboard Nana and Pappy sent. It's a very large keyboard that you step on the keys to make music. It was a huge hit at the party, but I had to supervise-hence no pictures!
