Leo Eating

Leo will eat more if he can feed himself. He's pretty weary of anything new, but this week the favorite is spanish rice (who knew!)
Here's a video of him eating ice cream at Culvers in Wisconsin:

And here he is eating spanish rice like a big boy at the table:

Chicks

We were only gone a week, but the chicks grew so fast. The kids were quite smitten with them. This past week our garage was knocked down and they therefore had to move in with the big girls. There was some blood (not that much) and lots of time spent chasing the chicks around the yard around the excavator, but they are finally settled. Today (Sunday) we tightened up security around the whole chicken area, moved the coop and put all new fencing up. No chicken will be getting out now!

Friends, Cousins, Parks, Etc

Leo is totally into the playgrounds now. He walks up the slide, lays down on his belly, and goes down --without me!
Friends visiting from Spain. (they have the most adorable baby Noah.)
(These guys are 6 months apart, but the same size. Some day my boy will eat.)
The kids LOVED the bus ride from and back to the airport. They saw every single airplane coming and going from O'Hare airport and unfortunately the rest of the bus had to hear about it.
Beloit recently made a super awesome playground called Turtle Island.
Cousin, Ryan Jr.
Madigan loves being the oldest of her (young) cousins. Here's she single-handedly wrangled in three boys for a photo.
Madigan and Leo conversing with Noah.
Don't ask how long it took to get one post worthy photo of us on this turtle!
Every night we were home the kids were exhausted (and Grandpa too!).
Yup, down the slide without me!

Madigan sure enjoyed her time with Grandma. Leo on the other hand stuck with the guys.

Great Grandpas

We had Fish Fry (a Wisconsin tradition) with the "whole family", but here's a few photos of the kids with Great Grandpa George.

Wisconsin Bound/ First Up: Zoo

The kids and I headed to Wisconsin for a week at the end of April. The were the best travelers!

We went to the zoo the very first day that the weather was forecasted to be good. It was almost 70 and perfect!! We already knew Madigan would love the zoo trip, but Leo REALLY loved it. He had a personal escort, named Uncle Dennis.

Uncle Dennis nicknamed Leo "Mr. Woodshop" (something about his vest I guess).

And after 4 hours of zoo cruising, Leo fell asleep in under 1 minute!

Easter Bunny

I just found this picture I scanned in a couple of weeks ago. It's Madigan and the Easter Bunny, drawn by Madigan of course.
