Proud Mama

Madigan drew her first baby at dinner about a month ago. I had meant to get this up sooner, but kept forgetting it was in the scanner. So, I'm sure you can see it. But if not, it's the circle in the bottom left with 4 arms, 2 legs and 2 eyes. So cute, huh? It was one of those things were Kyle and I were talking and she was drawing and I looked over and said, "whoa, Madigan drew a person herself!!".

Grateful Jar

This little jar is changing our lives. It's our grateful jar. About a month ago I started writing a little note starting with "I'm grateful for..." and sticking it in the jar. I thought Kyle would catch on, but it took him awhile to add anything. When I asked him about it, he said he was always thinking about what he was grateful for since I set up the jar. So,he too started added little slips of paper. I haven't come up with what we're going to do with the paper yet- not sure if I want to read them aloud as a family or quietly savor each addition to the jar myself. But it does have us thiking about all of the winderful things we have each day.

Graduation Party

Madigan's school had a little graduation party for the kids who are moving on. Kyle and I went to Circle Time and then I stayed for a pizza lunch outside. Right when we got there, a little boy accidentally bumped into Madigan and she fell down. She was very upset and hence Circle Time did not go so well for her (or us). It was still nice to go and sing some songs together. There's a few teachers that we will all very much miss. Below is one of Madigan's bestest friends; Paulina.

Games

We bought a couple of the Eric Carle games when they were on sale at Target. This one is the Brown Bear, Panda Bear What do You See Game. Madigan really likes it. It's a memory and matching/sequencing game.

Middle Creek Montessori School

Last weekend, we headed out the the Middle Creek Montessori school's Spring Fling & Fundraiser. This is the school we chose for Madigan last winter, she starts September 1st. In our minds, it was the only one for her. It's on 8 acres or so (can't remember really how many, but I think I'm close) and has an ice rank, rabbits, 2 goats, a sheep and chickens. The outdoor area is amazing (should have taken photos of that).
Here's is Madigan's classroom. There was 3 to choose from, but we just loved this one.Madigan had a blast walking around and checking out each "lesson". She's very excited about her new school. She'll be going 3 half days a week to start.
There's a turtle in the classroom (all above mentioned animals are outside).

It turns out we know quite a few families that go to Middle Creek- that's alwasy nice to know going into it.

Ice Cream

Back a few weeks ago when we thought Summer was finally here, we ate lots of ice cream. Oh, how she loves her ice cream....
