Nana's Trip

Nana came for a long weekend-Saturday to Tuesday. Although the trip was short we got a lot of quality time together. Madigan played with Nana as much as she could-even locking her in her room!

Sun Hat Season

(Okay a small disclaimer here: I only packed the camera to take a picture of M's new sweater vest I made her. It's the neighborly found here. It turned out adorable and she seems to really like it (she picked the colors with me). It took me about 2 months to make, but at least I finished it in time for Spring. It should fit her for a while too.)

Spring is finally here and Madigan wants to be outside every minute of the day. Last week we walked up to the duckpond. M and I fed the ducks until Leo woke up.
Madigan has had this 'bonnet' sun hat for a long time and it still fits. The way it's made it will probably fit next year too--- and then I'll have to find a pattern to make more. It's by FlapHappy, which must be pretty popular.... We have about 10 hats by this company, all from the thrift stores.... I picked Leo up 2 more a couple of months ago. He's wearing his too! Yay for sun hat weather!

Last Snow??

I really hope this week is the last week we have of snow. Yesterday we got a good 6 inches or so. It was the PERFECT snow for building things! Madigan and I made a snow man while shoveling. She's actually helpful when shoveling this year!

Madigan's World Map

Family Hike

We hiked up Drinking Horse Mountain yesterday while the weather was good. It's a beautiful new trail really close to town. Madigan walked for part of it, but mostly rode in the Ergo. (She's such a big girl now!!) Leo slept the entire time and nursed at the summit.

This tree/stick fort is at the summit and oh so fun!Madigan roasted marshmallows (snow on a stick) and planted flowers.

Even Naya is in the family photo!:

Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter at the Boyer Family's farm. There was a huge brunch, followed by a snow covered egg hunt, and then onto baby goats and chicks! I love the easy going nature of Easter.

Madigan held this baby goat for a very long time:

Egg Dye Day

I broke in and bought the princess egg dye kit this year. Madigan loved it. We dyed the eggs on Saturday and then made Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs-yum!
Madigan's little headband I made a few months ago. It stays in the cloth napkin basket at the table so we can pull her hair back while eating or painting, etc. It's the 5 minute hairkerchief found here.

Leo

What do I really need to say here...??

Safety First

We have stairs that are "officially" safe!! (We had to complete the stairs to get our building permit signed off on.) Kyle used tempered glass which is VERY strong. So, here they are- we're very happy with the finished product.
