Big Bed Time News

Madigan slept in her crib- in her room- for the very first time last night....Kyle and I took it a little hard since we absolutely LOVE sleeping with all 6 (usually 5 since Naya feels squished) of us in bed. But this last week she has gotten very strong and I was a little worried she's start crawling right out of our bed. So, I put her down in her own crib and she went right to sleep-AND stayed asleep until 5am!! Apparently it's going to be a lot harder for Kyle and I to get used to than for Madigan to.

It's official. Barnaby is in heaven.

We think Barnaby has been dreaming of the age when Madigan would be old enough, strong enough, and smart enough to get that food into his mouth...well she is now. I caught this picture while I was on the phone the other morning. In this picture Madigan looks as though she is not 'feeding' Barnaby, but she totally was!....

My Little Musician

I picked this little piano up at a garage sale and Madigan loves it. This whole toy buying thing is funny--you don't really know what they are into at what age until they stumble upon someone else's toy and love it- so then you run out and try to find it. In our case, I hunt the garage sales. In any case, she really likes things that she can make noise with and this is a good one that doesn't drive the parents crazy.

So Strong, So Smiley

This is Madigan yesterday playing on the floor. We don't put her on her tummy much anymore since she started sitting. But she has figured out that in order to get stuff she needs to go to her belly and then maneuver to get that something. She's not getting up on her knees yet, but it will be any day now.

Jump Jump Jumperooooo...

Madigan has this jumping thing down to a tee. This little contraption called a "jumperoo" is at the new house for her to play in while Mom and Dad work. We also just took down the co-sleeper and turned it into a playpen to be at the new house...Boy that is really nice to have! (Thanks Nana, Pappy, Aunt Erika & Uncle Rob:))
The day the above picture was taken was in the mid-80's-Montana July in May!

This was a first....

One minute she was playing and then she fell over and decided to go to sleep. This is the first and only time this has happened....You know, it's just tiring to eat and play all day long.

The NEW House....

Okay, so here it is- a picture of the new house. The neighborhood is very quiet and has an older population. Our neighbors across the street came to say hi yesterday as we were working and they were very nice. They said that Madigan chose the right neighborhood to be spoiled- lots of Grandmas and Grandpas on the block. We're only about 4 blocks from the Co-op and other grocery store, as well as lots of other things.
Over the weekend, we tore out all of the carpet upstairs and pulled out the staples, removed a built in table and desk, removed wood paneling in the dining room, and removed a small broom closet... Today I am meeting with a flooring person and tomorrow the kitchen cabinet person.
More pictures to follow.

Miscellaneous

So, we are supposed to close on the new Bozeman house this Friday! The sellers of the house broke up and I think one of them may not be cooperating with the other. The guy seller and the title company assure me that we will be signing all of the paperwork this Friday. Kyle is going to be putting a new roof on our existing house in Belgrade over the weekend and I hope to get started on the new house right away. It's been a bachelor pad for a while now so I think it's going to need some cleaning, in addition to all of the other things we want to do.

Having bought a newly remodeled place the 1st time around, I need to keep in mind that a fixer upper takes time.... We will be living in a transition zone for a while we work (and try to pay for) on the new house. Jessica and Diego (from Spain!!) are coming to visit us in July and I was hoping to have a lot of work done by then---but I don't think it's going to happen quite that fast.

In other news, Madigan has started playing peekaboo all by herself. It's very sweet and it's a fun family game...She raises and throws off the covers, and Kyle and I scream "Peekaboo" everytime. She is such a special baby. We just melt over her.

What? I wasn't pulling on Naya's ear....

For everyone out there that forgot we have another dog- here's a picture of Naya and Madigan. She is very tolerant of and loving to Madigan. We're trying to teach her now to be gentle with Naya and other dogs too.

Madigan & Daddy on the floor

Hm, is that Dad taking a picture-again?
