Baby Bath Station

I saw this idea online and knew M would live it. She has water in the backyard at all times in all sorts of containers. It's a baby doll washing/bath station. She had her own baby, a bottle of baby shampoo, a washrag and a tub. It kept her busy for at least 20 minutes.
This year we'll definitely need a pool, but I'm also thinking we should get her a fun sprinkler. There's so many cool sprinklers in the stores these days!

Kids in Bed

Leo on the Floor - 4 months

First Bath Together!

Madigan was thrilled when I put Leo in the bath with her this week! I assured her that there would be many more baths in coming months and years when he can sit up on his own.

Cupcakes!

Paige & Madigan see each other almost weekly still. Last week was pretty dreary so the girls and & I made cupcakes. They are having so much fun with each other these days. I'm so glad they have the friendship they do, and that Paige's mama and I have ours.

Leo bath time

Wow, the 2nd child really gets the bath shaft. He's lucky to get a bath once a week, let alone twice a week! Here's Leo after a dip in the kitchen sink.

Audio Books

This Spring we found audio books at the library. After I found out we had a tape player on Madigan's little boombox, I practically ran to the library (the books on cd is limited at the library, but on tape the selection is bigger). So, at any given time we have had about 5 audio books. If I need a minute to put Leo down for nap or make dinner, I just set M up and she's good to go. She really enjoys the stories and is good at listening to turn the pages. Below Leo enjoys listening too.
(Note: Madigan is trying to hold his hand as well. She holds his hand every chance she gets. When they're in the stroller together it's not uncommon for them to both be asleep, but holding hands. It's so sweet!)

Backyard Fun

We're really loving our backyard since fencing it in and putting in the garden and chickens. Madigan spends full days out there some days doing nothing more then playing in water and pretending she has every animal under the sun.

Watershed Festival 2010

We made it to the watershed festival in time for a few activities and some ice cream this year. (Madigan really just did the activities to get to the ice cream!) It's such a nice family friendly festival.

Happy Baby

Here's a few photos of Leo that my friend Jen took last weekend at her son's birthday party. Leo was all smiles. He rolled over for the first time at this party. And a few years ago Madiagn took her first steps at the Boyer's house too. That house has some good energy I tell ya!

Chico Hot Springs

Last Friday we headed to Chico Hot Springs. Madigan is taking another swim class for the rest of May and first week in June. This class is sooooo much better then her last class and she actually REALLY likes it! Leo continues to be very comfortable in the water. He was happy and content the entire soak. We also visited the greenhouse and pet the horses. (If any of you locals haven't visited the greenhouse-you should. They have an avocado tree, lime tree and fig tree!)
Not the most flattering pictures of me, but isn't Leo so cute?? He's finally getting some fat on him!

Leo BabyLegs

I love these things called BabyLegs! They're little leg warmers that stay one during the day and even when changing diapers! This picture was taken after Leo fell asleep outside with Madigan and Kyle while I was at the gym. I thought his outfit was so cute and funny.

New Barn

We got new neighbors next door over the Winter. They have 2 girls-aged 7 and 9. We were thrilled when they bought the house, but didn't see too much of them over the Winter. Now that the weather has been nicer, the girls have been outside more. They love Madigan and she LOVES them! This past weekend they had a garage sale with 10 years of girl stuff. I didn't have it in me to dog through everything, especially after I dropped $45 for this new barn and 30+ horses. (Side note: a wooden barn has been on the top 5 things I must find at a garage sale for the last few years....finally!) We also got an awesome new kitchen- a plastic one that makes noises and has all the kitchen components like a microwave. It's great and I'm sure Leo will love it too. Other then that we got a couple of puzzles, a travel stroller, a new tutu and a coffee table.

This is what dads are for....

That's right, Dads are for applying nail polish to hands and feet.

The Napping House

This never happens around here-both kids napping at the same time!
