On vacation

In a couple of weeks there will be so many photos you won't know what to do with. But for now, you'll just have to refer to the archives, cuz I'm on vacation......!

Mom, are you there?

Madigan has taken to reaching out of her crib to get to me during the night or just when she knows I am near by. I couldn't resist putting her nap off a little longer while I took these pictures....

After Photos-Kitchen only for now...

So, here's some pictures of our new kitchen!! We still need to do some painting and lighting, but this is the just of it. We love it sooooo much! The countertops are bamboo and they turned out lvely. The cabinets are maple in chocolate color. The wall that the fridge is on had a very large picture windown but it's shape wouldn't let us do anything with the entire wall so we took that out and "wallah!"......

So, looking back at some of these photos made me kind of cringe inside... The house was dark , dirty, and very cosmetically ulgy. Walk in the back deck/door and there was this stair well --THE FIRST THING TO GO!


There were a few "built in" little things like this table in the kitchen.


this panelling covered a lot of the upstairs. Downstairs also has it but not so bad.

The carpet was a brown and cream combination that was VERY dirty and we're sooo happy to have it all out of the house!

This is the best shot I have of the "before" kitchen.... That's a dishwasher-range-oven combo!! (aka A Pullman Unit)

Kyle snapped these photos while we were on the phone this evening. Madigan is eating her "O's" cereal and lounging in the high chair like she's an old pro.....Must be my favorite photo series yet~

Okay, well the most recent photos are on top in this post....i meant to do it the other way. Madigan is such a sweetie right now. I love spending any minute I have with her. She recovered from strep throat in a few short days, and hasn't looked back. Here's some June photos:

New Nephew/Cousin

Isn't he perfect?? This is Tyler Robert Flynn, born June 21st at 1:57. He's 7 lbs and 20 1/2 inches long.... Welcome Tyler!! We can't wait to meet you!

All Moved In

Well, we're all moved in....We closed on the old house last Wednesday. The new house still needs a lot of work, but we can live in it for now. And we're LOVING living in it! It is sooo great to be close to everything and walk any where we want to. The yard is not the dog yard it once was, but the dogs are doing great staying inside their boundaries. We'd like to build a fence sooner then later, but Kyle is way to tired to think about that right now. He's pretty exhausted after working on the roof all day, and for the last month working on the new house all night. So, we're unpacking slowly and not completely. The basement right now is an "unfinished" one and we hope to atleast brainstorm some ideas about what we're going to do with that....And Kyle would like to know asap since he needs garage space for a VW or two....
Madigan had strep thraot last week, after her first week of day care (don't know if they are related). She's back to normal now and getting strong- still not crawling but definately getting around. She's cut back a lot on her milk, but has been eating everything else that we give her- love broccoli and asparagus!(not from her mom).
We leave next Saturday the 30th for our PA and WI trip...looking forward to a vacation. I promise to get some new pictures of Madigan and some before and after shots of the house up this weekend.

Overwhelming

Okay so I know I just posted like 10 new posts, but I had to do it so I am not buried with the next 100 pictures of our baby. We move into the new house this weekend (fingers crossed). Boy, these are the times you wished you lived near family-any family! I found a high school student to watch Madigan a few hours this weekend while we clean the place up and move. She'll be at the same house as us, but we just won't have to attend to her needs.
Madigan started Day Care this week too. So far it's going really well. She is such a good baby that we didn't have many worries going into it.
I started making baby food and it's soooo darn easy that I can't believe it took me this long! In the last couple of weeks Madigan has had broccoli, tofu, mango, plain yogurt (loves the yogurt!) and carrots. She's starting to communicate with us a lot more and we can tell exactly what she wants most of the time. She' is so un right now, it's hard to believe it can get any better.
Off to bed for another exhausting day tomorrow and the rest of this week. Send us your good thoughts that we get all moved and squared away:)

Playing Outside

Madigan loves it outside. The beauty of her not crawling yet is that we can set her in the grass and do other stuff around the yard without worrying about her. I am a little nervous that Kyle and I won't know what do do with a mobile baby since we are so used to her staying put. I guess we all adapt...

This is Paige who is one day older than Madigan. She is already on the move- crawling and standing and cruising. Madigan isn't thinking about going anywhere yet, and we're hoping she waits until we're moved an somewhat settled in!
