Miscellaneous Cuteness 2
Leo LOVES biking in his bike seat. We got this seat to fit on the Xtracycle so both kids and I can get around town this summer. Now I don't have to pull the 80 pound bike trailer around. Leo loves it so much that he cries when we stop and he's constantly trying to climb up the bike.
Breakfast together:
Came up the stairs and found this moment:
Leo loves animals, like his big sister. He and Barnaby are turning out to be buds. Here they are just laying on the stair landing:

Surprise Visit From Grandma!
My mom totally surprised visited us for 4 days! ..Like took a taxi from the airport and rang our doorbell for the surprise factor...It was perfect since Kyle was gone for 2 weeks and Madigan's recital was the weekend she was in town. Madigan was at Grandma's side instantly, and continuously for the trip. Leo even warmed up to Grandma this time.
Grandma helped picked out and plant petunias. (I haven't planted flowers with my mommy in a lllooonnnggg time!)

And this is not the best picture of me, but I had to share Leo's expression in this one:

Miscellaneous Cuteness 1
Leo loves books lately. While Kyle was gone I read to both kids at the same time for bed time.
Bed time:
He has no idea what he's doing, but thinks it's cool:

Leo is so sweet with Madigan's dolls. He's into pushing them in the doll stroller, hugging them and feeding them a bottle. He was so into a real baby a couple of days ago that he kept patting it's belly and then held him with both hands. Sweetest moment!

Bed time:
Spring Sing
I'm a little late on posting these pictures! Madigan had a Spring Sing for school. It was back in May. She didn't sing much, but she looked happy enough being up there. It was a potluck so the kids did the performance and then we all had dinner.
She wore this dress that Grandma sent her. She thinks it's really fancy.
And of course Leo had to look nice too:

Here's Leo walking back to the car. It was super windy and it looked like he was going to get blown over:

Montessori Certificate
Madigan had a little potluck lunch and ceremony to end the school year. Luckily, it was a very nice day and we were able to have a lunch outside. (Seriously, the potluck theme does my heart good. I love potlucks--so much so that our wedding was a potluck, as well as M's baby shower!!)

Recital 2011
This year Madigan took Tap/Ballet class. For her recital they did a tap routine to 'Oh Suzanna'. She was so much more confident (or maybe it was her Mama who was) in her recital and leading up to it. When she didn't want to go to class, all I had to mention was that the recital was coming soon and she was on board again.
We had a surprise visit from Grandma !!! (more on that later), so she helped us get all ready.
Grandma curling M's hair:

Flowers after the recital (Madigan begged the days leading up for flowers but was surprised when she got them).
Our neighbor Pat also went with us this year:

Garage Demolition and Framing
When life goes getting, it really gets going.... We were a little crazy there for a few weeks. The garage demolition (and all it's prep), Kyle starting back to work AND trip planning for Kyle's 2 weeks vacation to CA and back up the coast, all hit us at once. We did a pretty good job keeping up with it all (if I can say so myself).
Leo was in HEAVEN with all the garage demolition and building. We spent many hours at the windows trying to stay out of the way, but still be part of the action. I picked Madigan up from school early so she could see the demolition. I figured I would not be able to describe it very well, even though I could not look away.... It was so exciting and fascinating!

Here's a few before shots of the old garage:

Demolition:

Waiting for the concrete. This seemed to take forever since we were dealing with Montana Spring weather:
And ta-da, the new garage and mudroom:

I'll post some more pictures soon. These ones I took for Kyle while he was gone. The mudroom can be accessed from the driveway, the garage and the backyard. We're getting more concrete poured to make a patio outside the mudroom. The upstairs is open right now, has tons of large windows and will eventually have 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with a huge living space and maybe a kitchenette. (Hint hint: we would love guests!!!)
