You're house may not make it...

....if Madigan is in charge of the water hose! We went to see the Forest Service fire truck and Smokey the Bear last Friday morning. Madigan wasn't very interested in any of it and just wanted to nap. She had a little bug last week and her eyes were very gooey and puffy. But she's fine now.

Arteeest

Madigan really likes to paint. I usually set it up on the deck and that way I can eliminate a mess inside (yeah right, but can't blame me for tryin!) This past weekend Dad got to do some painting too. It usually goes like this- a few brush strokes of each color on the paper and then she moves on to her body and anything else in sight. It's okay- it's washable paint!

Mom was doing her own painting this past weekend. I primed all the walls Wednesday and Thursday, painted the ceilings Friday and then spent all of Saturday and some Sunday painting the colors we (I) chose. I am so happy with my color choices! And I'm so happy with my paint job too! I thought I would also paint a little upstairs, but I'm exhausted and am done painting for awhile! Dad and Madigan got lots of time together while Mom worked.

What an Excellent Camper

• So, we went camping this past weekend!-yahoo! We were able to get there late Friday night and stay 2 nights. Saturday morning we woke up and drove about 10 minutes to Chico Hot Springs and ate brunch and soaked for a little while. We also went for a hike to Pine Creek waterfalls -about a mile in. I attempted to get Madigan down for an afternoon nap , but she was too excited about camping and the other kids. Madigan was an excellent camper and we're hoping to get out tons this summer-especially since we have the Eurovan and it was totally awesome to camp in:)

Yogurt Alone...?

So, last week I decided to let Madigan eat yogurt by herself with a spoon. She's been on some antibiotics this week and therefore eating 2 containers of yogurt a day. She INSISTS on eating it herself and throws a huge fit if we attempt to help her eat it. It's actually going ok--only because we have dogs to lick up the mess!

One Summer like weekend

Two weekends ago we actually had 90 degree weather the whole weekend. They said it was July temps in mid May. If you've been here in May, you know it's still pretty chilly and moist around here. Soooo, needless to say we were so excited! It's been a very long winter with lots of snow and we've been needing to soak up some sun. So, Madigan and I got some flowers and planted those, and we also started digging into the ground around the house so we can plant and mulch perennials. Madigan is a very good helper and enjoys anything outside. We're hoping this weekend warms up and we can spend some time outside painting and digging.

Library Fun

Madigan heads right to this :toddler computer" when we walk into the children's room at the library. I think she likes it since we're always shooing her away from the home computer.
