Wednesday Hike
Madigan did her first real hike. We went to South Cottonwood trail. Our destination was the 1st bridge, one mile away. The bridge was taken out by the high water this year but that was fine with us. My deal with Madigan was that if she made it without complaining, she could pick out whatever ice cream she wanted later that day at Lunch on the Lawn. She didn't complain or fuss a single time! In fact, she thoroughly enjoyed herself, finding a million snails on the trail and being the line leader when it was her turn.

I love the shots of you and the kids. There is something pretty special about the one with you and Madigan :)
Isn't that great that M didn't complain about the long walk?! She's a true Montana hiker! She and Leo both look like they've grown this summer. M looks so long in the family photo at the top of the blog. What will Dad do when he can't pick her up??
