Cutest Dancer Ever!

Long Time, No Blog

Well we've had a crazy last week or so. Madigan poked me in the eye while she was sleeping on Saturday night. After a trip to the ER the next morning, I found out she scratched the top layer of my cornea. They sent me home with Vicadin and eye drops and I had to see an eye doc twice this week. So the short news is that my eye is much better and is healing like it's supposed to. I have to continue my drops for a week and the night ointment for a month. I feel a 100% and I look normal too!

In other news, Kyle continues to work on Madigan's toddler bed. It should look like this when finished:
He is also going to make some matching cubes- table top height for Madigan with storage area inside...you'll see when he makes them I guess.
Madigan continues to be very confident and busy at home, but more reserved and quiet when out and about. Kyle says when we have another baby she will turn into a Daddy's girl, but I told him she'll always be a Mama's girl (I hope!). And no-no news of a new baby yet.
She's continuing to "talk" a lot and her favorite and most said word is definitely "doggie'. She also thinks that every animal "meows". I'll try to post some pictures this weekend.

The Learning Tower Look Alike

If you haven't heard of The Learning Tower, see below. It's an adjustable platform for kids to stand at to learn stuff in the kitchen, etc. We borrowed our friends last week while they were out of town. Kyle had the whole week off, so he traced theirs and made us one- for a fraction of the cost! It did take Kyle all week to make , but he's quite proud of himself for completing it. And Madigan loves it-especially after today when Kyle showed her how to climb into it herself!

Thrift store find of the year!

We knew we wanted to get Madigan a tool bench and tools after 1.) seeing her run over and try to help Dad ANY time he has tools out and 2.) after she saw Logan's (her friend who is a month older) tool bench he got for Christmas. So, when I took a walk over to the thrift store last week and found this Craftsman tool bench and all the tools for 12 bucks, I got it! It has safety goggles, a drill, a vice grip, screwdrivers and screws and a toolbelt which Madigan likes to wear as a "toolpurse" over her shoulder. She's really diggin g it so far.

Brushing Teeth

Madigan really likes to brush her teeth. She even likes to pretend to put toothpaste on herself. We think she's developing lots of good habits- especially after today when she tried to floss using Dad's old floss.

Never want to forget how cute this is

I took this little video from inside the house. As I watched from the window, I hoped I would never forgot how cute Madigan was as she walked around in her snowsuit as happy as could be.

Barnaby Time

Madigan has always loved the dogs and cat. In the last couple of weeks, she has started "snuggling" into Barnaby's front legs and sitting against his chest. She also like to strattle him and jump up and down. He doesn't seem to mind any of it and is perfectly happy to follow her wherever she goes.
