We finally made the jump and decided to go and pick up some new chickens. Our local store had the ones that I really wanted (silver laced wyandottes) so we got 3 of those and one blue laced wyandotte. Right now we don't know if any or all of them are hens!
This time around Madigan is very into holding them and can be heard saying "having baby chicks is so fun" at any point in the day. She's been checking on them constantly, sitting & holding them on the couch and wanting to help with food & water. Her school will be learning about birds in the month of May, so the chicks may visit school for a few days.
