That's right Madigan is considered a toddler now. It wasn't until we spent all of Saturday together that I realized just how much she understands now. All of a sudden it seems that now my talking to her is really talking to her, not at her or for her. And although she can't always express what she wants, somehow we figure it out. (Usually through a series of grunts and/or crying and/or pointing....I mean that's what Madigan does of course.)
We've been working on pointing to body parts, usually in the mornings while we're laying in bed. She seems to have 'nose' down, and 'ear' is on it's way, and 'eye' is just plain fun to poke.
She is so fun to be around these days, but she is also a bear a lot of the time- all the text book signs of toddlerhood- frustration, crying, tantrums, crying..... And also incredibly snuggly and lovey.
