Misc

The kids reading in our bed:

I totally LOVE that Leo (and Madigan) is so comfortable at our library. I am in love with our library and now that I work there I think it's even better.

Big Kids

Scooter Style

Well, it occurred to me that Madigan was big enough for a scooter this year. So, off to Target we went. She's quite fast on it now and it sure helps to have her on the scooter and Leo in the stroller to walk to the park, etc.

Outdoor Playhouse!

I have been wanting to get the kids a play house since before Madigan was born. A month or 2 ago I had a genius idea of using what we had and making a play house in the bottom of our swing set! (I am so smart!) So, finally Kyle agreed to cut the boards for me and Leo and I screwed them all in and made a play house! The kids do really like it. Kyle is going to make a door and I have 2 tension rods to hand curtains in the windows. Right now there is a bid galvanized "bucket" of sand, a table, 2 chairs and a Little Tykes kitchen (and there's still room!).

M artwork update

Madigan stopped drawing pictures this Winter for a little while and I started to get a little worried. Then, one day she started back up again and has been going strong.

Koalas in trees:
A horse in the mountains:"I love you Leo" picture
Tractor for Leo:
Toadstool fairy house and fairy:
Fairies (inspired by Rainbow Magic fairy books she's obsessed with):
A picture of her room that she drew while in a "timeout". From left: bed, hamper, dresser, mirror; window above.
A VW bus:
Butterflies and a plant growing (lots of seeds and plant stages being drawn as Spring approaches):

Spring Activities!

The kids and I made these Spring Nests (link here). They were yummy and the kids had a really fun time making them. We took some to our neighbors and they were just so cute to give away. elo is really into helping in the kitchen these days, especially if it involves something sweet. This morning we finally dyed our eggs. Madigan has asked no less then 200 times if we could decorate eggs this week. I had been waiting to join the neighbor girls but just found out they were heading out of town. So, this morning we did them and both kids had tons of fun. Leo does not gently drop the eggs in but rather throws them. He totally was into this activity and he was last year as well (even though he was so young.)
