Hair cut

Madigan REALLY wanted to cut her hair!  I finally said yes, go ahead, its your hair honey....and she got it the same day! In the end, she cut off 9 inches and its enough to donate to make a wig with. There's no more yelling and crying int he mornings brushing her hair. Its pretty much wake up and go now. Oh yeah, and it aged her by like 10 years and she's super big now!!

Peets Hill Walk

I took the kids for a walk up Peet's Hill last weekend. It was in the 80's here- totally unheard of for Montana May. We are all crazy happy and trying to get as much sun in as possible. Madigan really wanted to find birds so she came prepared with binoculars and a bird book. Leo kept saying "I love hiking Mom"...and then we crossed the limit and I had to carry him the rest of the way back.

April so far

I got the Cook's Country Caramel Cake for my birthday cake this year. (So delicious-try it!) Here's Madigan frosting it for me:

Grandpa Harold (one of the grandparent volunteers at Leo's school) told me that Leo is a rockstar at puzzles. We have about 100 puzzles but Leo being the second child hasn't been devoted the same puzzle time as his older sister. We took care of that last week:

Kids running home from school. Leo is ALWAYS to excited to pick his sister up from school and be with her:

Leo Artwork

Who knew we would get another artist in the family? On the other hand with all of the exposure, why wouldn't we?? Here Leo is drawing a ""lego monster man" for his friends Birthday card.

Window markers have also been a big hit lately!:

Special Somebody

Madigan was Special Somebody at school a couple of weeks ago. She brought in our hamster, Bo. We also took chocolate banana bread as a special snack.

Madigan filled out an entire book about herself and it was posted for the week. On Friday she got to bring something special to show, a special snack and then go over her book and photos with her classmates...very sweet!

Easter-y Acticities

Kyle and I are doing the Love and Logic Parenting class through the school system. It's great!
Leo sat with us for the whole 2 hour class and did this:

Easter egg dying prep:
Dying eggs with the neighbors:

Making rice krispie birds nests with eggs with friends:

Egg hunt:

One of M's eggs had a key that unlocked the treasure box of cupcakes!!:

More Miscellaneous

Walking to the duck pond:

More freckles every day:

In Dad's bus:

At the Billings Zoo:

M wrote her cousin a letter by herself one day while we weren't looking:

Leo drew a picture of "Leo going poo". Pretty good huh?:
